Rocktron gear....

Just wanted to get your opinions on Rocktron gear... Pedals and Rack gear. What do you think about it? Thanks Rev. Timmy

Excellent stuff...I've owned alot of it over the years (Patchmate, Pro Q, Prophesy etc...) and I've alwasy been impressed with it.

I like them very much.
I have a Chameleon preamp that has built in effects.
I use it with my VHT 2150 power amp and it sounds better than my Line6 or Behringer I used to have.

They are cheap on E-bay too.

I use a lot of their stuff and like it for the price/value thing, but try to find the older American made stuff though. The newer Korean produce product isn't quite what Rocktron used to be.

I had a patchmate and loved it. Can't figure out why they stopped making them. I also had a Chemelion and a velocity power amp. Had a lot of trouble with the power amp, it kept cutting the power in half and then would kick in full power again by itself [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Oh yea, I also have a Hush IIcx that I use now, it's awesome, but Like John said, you need one of the older American built ones.

I have a Pro Q and an Intellifex. I had Repiflex as well. Their products are fantastic. I love my intellifex. The Pro Qis amazing as well, but it is too much for me and i don't use it. My amp simply doesn't need it.

I had a Prophesy for about a half a year and sold it. Just sounded flat and lifeless compared to the other tube preamps I was trying. The effects prosessors are decient though.

Yeah, I never liked the prophecy much myself either.

The Voodu is a MUCH heavier preamp, but sorta lifeless as well. No where near as bad though.

I used the original Chameleon preamp for years!!!
It was a great preamp no problems at all
But I went back to heads-Marshalls that is [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

i use the intellifex ltd. (the silver one) and i´m very happy with it. long time ago i used a HUSH II and it worked very good. i think you can´t go wrong with a Rocktron unit.
wasn´t it bob bradshaw who founded Rocktron?
