anyone use the weber mass or the thd hotplate and have any opinions on which i should get.i know a lot of you use the hot plate but the webers are a little cheaper but if it sucks then i would rather spend extra and go with quality

How about the Marshall PB100. Does it sound good? It is a reactive load, so it should sound good. Is it a valid option?

I've got two Webers - a 50-watt MASS and a 15-watt MiniMASS. I had a Power Soak and that sucked ass. I borrowed a friend's Z-Brake and Hotplate and didn't like them so I ordered the Webers and they sound awesome. Nowhere near the loss of highs like you get with others. It's great to be able to crank up a Marshall Plexi reissue!
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

I use the Weber Mass 50, and it's great. The only problem is it will clip if I roll it down below 3. This is only when I'm using my 50 watt marshall head on 10.

The Hot Plate affects your tone way less and is a very handy unit. The Weber mass makes it a little more cloudy IMO.
