Engl tubes

well i was just ..wondering how these tubes rate compared to other ones... i mean i love the blackmore..i just know nothing about these 5881 engl tubes... can you switch them out with any 6l6... and when i do change the tubes do i need to get this thing biased..? the closest amp fixer upper to where i live..thought i was nuts for wanting the 5150 reabiased hotter... the guys a dick though....oh well...anyway...what tubes do you guys use in your engls..?

Ask Derek at rocksolidamps.com what he recommends. I used to see him here a lot, but not lately. He's probably experimented with everything in his Engls.
