New amp project... any ideas?

Picked up this amp from a guy on Harmony Central, and it works. Has two black plate RCA 6L6s, four 12ax7s. Actually gets a little bit of gain when you crank one of the channels and turn the master down.





460 volts at the plate. Any ideas what I should build this thing into? I'm thinking some sort of 50 watt Marshall... or a homebrewish footswitchable two channel thing. If you have an idea, feel free to provide a link to a schematic [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Man everyone has done Marshall to death, and you have done it well. Why not try something else?

To me, that's just screaming for a high gain Mesa Mark kind of thing, complete with interdependant gain stages.

I think whatever I do, I may leave the cosmetics stock... there would be quite a bit of entertainment value to slam a high gain circuit into an amp that looks like it does. The little hohner logo just screams metal. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
