Anybody here heard of Sundown Amps? Quality, sound, what they do well? Anything at all helps!

    Re: Sundown Amps

    Hell yes!

Designed and built by my former boss Dennis Kager (who was a design tech at Ampeg in the 60's and 70's) and built in Edison NJ between 1986 to (appx)1990.

Built to compete with the Boogies of the same period these were around, at a much better price.

They do come close, and I know some players that perfer their Sundowns to Boogies.

You can contact Dennis at Central Jersey Music Service to ask him any question you may have about them.

Dennis was also responsible for the YAMAHA T-100 amp designed with Michael Soldano. YAMAHA's hottest amp!

I had a Rebel 50 head just like the one in the first auction.

That Rebel auction is what led to the question. I'll definitely contact your old boss before I bid.
