My Laney is no more

Today a guy came to my place and bought Laney TF300, which I was selling two months.

I just got home and brought my new Line 6 Spider II 212 combo.

I really like it. Distortion channel need some tweaking, but that wouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty happy with it.

Pretty nice. But I couldn't push over 5 ... It was almost impossible, because the tonal changes were huge ... And the speaker itself couldn't handle it. But for rehearsing and practicing at home it's right choice.

Keep in mind that the TF series are tube hybrid amps, with a lone 12AX7 in the preamp.

So if you're looking at an all tube Laney, YMMV

Congratulations on the Spider, Immortal. Jgcable had one recently in the Classifieds and said they are great Metal amps, so you may want to PM him to ask him what settings he used for that, if you feel your dstortion sounds need to be tweaked. He has mucho experience with many different amps and I'd say he could be a lot of help geting you up to speed with that amp.
