Good quality cables make a hell of a difference. When I said braided, I don't know if you thought I meant the outside is braided or the inside. I mean the inside copper wiring is braided (not sure if it clarifies anything).
I just googled neutrik connections, this can explain it to you pretty well,
This is a small disclaimer, I am not a sponser of any of the above sites. Myself, and I'm pretty sure that the JCF have nothing to do with their content, in other words, they've got nothing to do with me or this site.
The thing I like about the George L's is the connecters are solder-less and re-usable so if one does go bad all you do is remove the connecter, wank of a little and put it back on. They are so easy to make up that even your drummer could properly terminate them
I use planet waves cables for instrument, POD and monitor speakers, which have all really eliminated the noise from my studio setup! feels fairly tough as well.
