Ok, remember when my husband (worlds greatest by the way) bought me my RR5?? Well yesterday, he took the money he's made from doing karaoke and went and bought me this:


Anyway... I am so spoiled. He knew I was wanting one, and just surprised the hell out of me. It sounds awesome. I cant' wait to be able to really turn it up. It has some great tone, I'm happy as hell with it. [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

BTW, I would put a piece of plywood under the head, to give it something secure to sit on. Spraypainted black, and cut to the correct size, it would look good.

Sorry...he HOSTS karaoke at a local bar..makes $75 bucks a night (4 hours), he's been saving it. And yes, that's a dumb picture of me hanging off of the cab LOL...And yeah, we are going to do the plywood thing...or something like it. Just haven't had time yet...it's sitting ok for now I guess...tomorrow it gets support

In case you didn't know, you can pretty much nail Dimebags sound with that thing. I'm actually surprised he didn't use them.

So far, this thing is great. I haven't found the Dime sound yet..but what I have found is cool. I've only had it since yesterday..so my opinion is still limited. Send me some suggestions for settings please...

Try this:

Presence - 2
Low - plus 3-1/2 (4th line past zero)
Mid - minus 1-1/2 (2nd line past zero counter-clockwise)
High - zero
Gain - 8

Thanks to Crate for using goofy number on the EQ dials, but the way I read them, the first line (past zero) is plus 1/2, and halfway between the first and second lines is plus 1. Messed up eh? Anyway, this is the settings I use for moderate volume levels for practicing at home.

Bottom line though, is that your speaker cab will affect the frequencies a great deal, so these settings might not work for you like they work for me. Let me know how it works out.
