What do you guys use to put down quick ideas, whether guitar riffs, or even lyrics? I have a small handheld type tape recorder (like you see sports reporters holding up in interviews), but would like to get some kind of portable digital one so I can upload to a computer, and organize them better. It sucks having to forward/rewind even a 60 min tape, as well as have them get eaten. I also use a jam box at times, but I really want something handheld, and digital. Be nice to carry with me in the car, or maybe be able to mount in it. There's been plenty of times when an idea came while driving, and to even mouth it would be better than losing the thought. While driving I have lots of ideas too!So I would like to know more about it too!Maybe a small memory flash recorder?

Believe it or not, I have called my own voicemail, and hummed out a tune on it because I was driving, and didn't want to forget it. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've heard people say they've done that before. Definitely always an option.
