Help! Need info on LipStick~

Can anyone help me with the SLS lipstick tube series of Seymour Duncan pickups? I have acquired an old Surfcaster and am intereted in maybe getting a set but don't know much about them and have no experience with them. Also, I may be reacting too soon as I haven't heard the stock pickups yet in these guitars. Are they worth a damn or am I going to be better off replacing them?

PM sent, I have some Kent Armstrong Split Tubes, they are real low output Danelectro replacement types. Like 5.4K or something. I'm not sure how they compare to SD SLS, The Kent Armstrongs are like direct replacements for the Danelectros and I saw reviews on HC where the SDs are supposed to be Danelectro replacements too.
