Re: Detail your live rigs please

[ QUOTE ]
(That just sent a collective shudder through the entire JCF) I really like the ability to dial in presets, and once I can figure out how to program that damn FC1010 midi controller (how'd ya do it Pete?) I may put the Laneys into retirement for awhile.

[/ QUOTE ]

Email me at [email protected] with what your trying to do, and I'll help ya figure it out. If I can make it work with the Vetta, I can make it work with the same brand product

Pete, have you gigged yet with that Soldano HR50+?

[/ QUOTE ]

Haven't gigged with it, but I've used it for a few rehearsals. The real deal breaker for me on the Soldano is that my wireless sounds AWFUL with it, and the wireless sounds fine through the Vetta.

Plus if I used the soldano live, I'd have to have quite a few fx in the loop to get the same tones as I do with the Vetta. It looks like I have a line on a Pod XT Live for backup to the Vetta... not sure if I'm keeping the hotrod or not. I may sell it later on, add a few bucks and get an SLO - the one I played recently impressed me mightily.

Pete

[/ QUOTE ]

If that isn't the best advertisement for the Vetta than nothing is. Just think... Pete... our local guitar god/tube amp guru prefers to play a Vetta live. That certainly is enough endorsment regarding modeling amps for any of you tube snobs.
I didn't want to open up a can of worms but I couldn't help myself Pete.

Re: Detail your live rigs please

Here is my rig:

Guitar
Korg Rackmount tuner
Morley A/b switch (A - drop-D, B - Drop-B)
Alesis 2-channel Compressor/Limiter/Gate
Alesis MEQ-230
Floorboard (Morley Bad Horsie 2, Boss Metal Zone,
Amp channel switcher, HUSH)
Peavey Triple XXX Head and Marshall 1960BV cab
TC Electronix M-One multieffects (in effects loop)

I use a Berringer MIDI floorboard to control the M-One. The clean channel on the XXX is for my cleans, crunch for my leads, ultra for my metal rhythms. I use the Metal Zone set low gain with the clean channel when I want some crunch that isn't full-metal rhythm. Everything not on my floorboard is in my rack, protected by a Furman. I use a Phil Collen Archtop and a Rhoads Legend LE for my drop-D stuff, and a Soloist and a Model 6 for my Drop-B stuff. I use the Morley A/B box to switch sides on my compressor and eq, which are tailored to the different tunings, and the two signals recombine after them.

Funny, when you hit tab, it doesn't actually tab. Instead, it moves to the submit button. When you type and hit enter, it submits your half-finished post.

Re: Detail your live rigs please

is it just me or is anyone else as simple:

guitar - wireless - mesa .50 - verticle recto 2x12
(and that is the scientific wording for guitar + amp = ROCK!)

and i can carry my cab up and down stairs as well as into the back of my truck all by my self! hehheh... ok so i'm lazy.

DAMN...when i used to gig it was
guitar
ibanez tube screamer (ts9 i think)leads only
randall RGT100 W/randall 4X12 celestions.

sometimes no tube screamer when i was lazy.

Zeegler hows your randall doing find a way to add gain yet, funny how we both have an RGT100 & a tech21 XXL i still think that pedal is one of the best distortion pedals. tho i got the XXL after my gigging days.
