I would think that this might be FMIC's chance to get a tube based high gain beast.
That new R2D2 thing the just introduced seems like a toy.

Matt might be on to something as far as EVH working with FMIC.
Then again Marshall needs a seller.

That would be a major coup for FMIC, and would make sense, since they're already making his guitars through Charvel, and EVH previously had both amps and guitars built by the same company (Peavey).

However, I hope he gets it made by Marshall, as they were there in the beginning, when the mighty Van Halen was taking the world by storm.

Charvels, Marshalls. This is getting good. Somebody get DLR back in the band. PLEASE?!?!?!?

I don't see how taking money from FMIC makes him any more of a "money whore" than taking money from Marshall, Soldano, or any other company. He gets paid for endorsements, just like every other celebrity with a signature product. So what?

with all the killer amps available today a new amp with the letters EVH on it isn't going to be the panacea of amps. Has Eddie really had good tone since 1984? I think not [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] About the only option I can think of on an EVH amp that would be different would be an ash tray holder and a mini bar [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] that way Eddie can smoke and drink away while thinking he sounds good [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Eddie probably has more hi-gain heads lying about in his house than any of us have ever seen. They're still making the 5150 as the 6505, so if he ever has to buy a head tailored to his specifications, its not hard. It just wont have his name on it.

With all the high-end clones on the market that are explicitly designed to cop the early EVH tone, I really don't see the need for a new EVH Sig. amp... except for the fact that Eddie needs more money for beer and alimony. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Exactly there is no need for Eddie to get an amp... but he needs the money. Will it sell? You bet it will not as much as some of the Peavey did. I think it will be like the Charvel Art series smaller run higher cost take advantage of that disposable income market
