If I call Fender or Gibson or Marshall. Well you know what you get there.

I called Marshall at their NY (Melville?) office a few years back, I spoke to a woman who was awesome and helped me out when I had a problem with my 8240 Valvestate footswitch that crapped out after a few years. I was sent a replacement pretty quickly (though they first accidentally sent me one for channel/reverb switching instead of the channel/chorus switching that I needed). I did get the right one pretty quickly, too, though.

They designed a few Yamaha's. They didn't do the manufacturing though. Yamaha is probably the company that manufactured the Japanese SLO60 and sp77 though.

The SP77 to me is awesome for the price... Not as good as a Hafler/Bogner Triple Giant though
