• Anybody have info on the VHT Deliverance from NAMM

Anybody have any info/specs on the VHT Deliverance head which was introduced at NAMM. As usual, VHT's website has no info. I'm very curious as to what this was designed to do. I've always liked their product and am in the market for a new head...

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Here you go:

From what I heard of it at NAMM, it should be yet another monster amp from Stevie F.

I wonder what the 60watt head will be in street value...sounds pretty cool from what I heard, sorta keeping it simple like Soldano did with the Avenger 1 ch head.

Very awesome amp but to me (you could A/B it with the Pitbull 100) it was a lesser amp and well at a lesser cost. Still a really awesome amp. blew away most everything else out there. Steve demoes it for us while the guy from Krank was in there

That ahs to be List I doubt that is MAP or street. Just look at the cab price. I would guess 30-40 off of that price is street

Street will be high teens... It is awesome though. They were right next to Deizel. I thought the VHT sounded better. The Pitbull too. Don't get me wrong. I liked the D. It was nice but the VHT sounded better to my ears. THe Deliverance is frigging awesome though. I have thought about getting one ever since I left the booth.

Re: Anybody have info on the VHT Deliverance from NAMM

Thanks guys for the help...for those of you who played it, or heard Stevie play it, what kind of tone did it have? Something dark/modern, or something Marshall-like, or even Soldano like??. For the guesstimated street price of the 60w head how would it compare to something like a Splawn Modded Marshall ? (similiar price) In other words, can or does it sound brown?

                      Thanks again,

                      Bill

It sounded a little less Moden than the PitBull but it isn't going to react like a Marshall... This is a KT88 loaded amp and they don't saturate and break up like an EL34... The best tones I heard out of this amp is whent he guys from Daves Guitar Shop were in there playing a Zakk Wylde LP. Cleaner and mroe articulated than a Marshall though really crunchy and really pushed some air. I would say if you are looking for a brown Marshall sound you are best off with a Splawn IMO

                          Tets-

Good info. Nope, actually looking to complement a Splawn amp. Just wondering if the tone range could encompass it as well...Not like I'm asking a lot of a single channel amp

YEah it can compliment it nicely I think.... tthe KT88's are just a great tube... Is your Splawn a KT88? It is differnet... Fantastic sounding amp indeed

VHT is completly over rated and Stevie is not my type of guy ( Sold alot of amps for him once and I gave a guy a 100.00 break when i had to ship him one and heard about it and my boss at the guitar store was involved, 2 weeks later we became matchless and peavey dealers I sold 5150's instead, this is LA....I don't see the fuss of VHT's < I teched and toured with the top guys, never understood the glory ( I Like Mike Morin, Bogner and Rivera, I also like GMW Guitars so what do I know? )
