it is definitely worth checking out if you are a "bedroom" guitar player looking for something he might be able to do a gig with. COntrary to popular belief, Crate makes decent stuff and the price is certainly appealing to those who don't need the latest, hottest, loudest super all-tube high gain amp out there.
