What could I trade a Mesa 4x12 for?

Hey guys, I am growing pretty unhappy with my current amp situation, so I am wondering, would it be possible to trade my Mesa 4x12 for a good combo? I am looking like 2x12 stuff, of course for metal and all. Thanks guys!

The only bitch about selling a 4-12 is that its so heavy you pretty much have to sell it local cause of shipping expense.

Eh, I shipped a couple of them for under $75, so if the price is right, it's doable, but it's certainly a concern, no doubt...

i was happy with my rectoverb combo, if you wanted to go the Mesa boogie route. That thing was pretty hefty though. It had to be about 100 lbs and only one handle in the middle of the top. Ive got a Mesa 4x12 and it doesnt seem that heavy to me. Course id never try to carry it myself since it is so big and akward. the wheels help a lot. Would a local guitar shop be able to ship stuff for you? Ive always wondered that. They ship so much stuff like that it seems like they would get a discount. plus have a box big enough and know how to pack it. One place I took a guitar to get shipped wanted $15 to make a custom box, tape two normal boxes together. what a rip off.

what amp are you using with that cab?

are you sure you'd rather have a new cab than a new head. the recto cabs are great!
