Mesa F-30 headphone output

Is the Record / Headphone Output of Mesa Boogie F-30 the same thing as the headphone output of solid state amps? I'm asking this because I want to buy a valve amp sounding good at low volumes and if the Mesa has a "real" headphones output (and not only just for recording) it will be perfect for me. Thanks.

I want to know if it is also as I had an old Carvin X60 amp combo that had a headphone out and it only worked as Mono im headphones, worthless like that.Only one side of the headphones worked. Jack.
