My Tubefex fried

This is bad news for me... I got a Tubefex off ebay, which I got in very good condition. The only thing is that you have to be very careful with a battery that these have on top of the main board and therefore I knew I had to replace the one that came with the unit.. .

Today I was playing forgot to switch off the unit... the weather was relly hot here and it seems the battery leaked... obviously the unit died immediately... I am trying to get a friend of mine who is an electrical engineer to help me but I am not sure this will ever start again...

Man, that certainly sucks in a big way. I hope your friend can resurrect that unit.

I had this fixed by a technician at my company and now I am back playing through it... I love this unit sooo much I want to make love to it...

These units bring a battery on top of the board that is prone to leaks... when this happens, the tracks corrode and then it short-circuits... the guy repaired the tracks and luckily no components had blown.. it came back to life better than before after a quick reset... thanks for asking John, how are you doing?...

I just haven´t found any holes in the unit that I feel are safe for that purpose...

I do get out... I just came back from Cartagena, a nice beach town in my country... I had an awesome time!... I was there for 10 days!...
