Opinions..Mesa 2-12" vs Marshall 2-12" 1936 cabine

I can get very nice used Mesa 2-12" cabinet here for $250.Almost mint.I believe vintage 30's in it.Or a Marshall 1936 for a little more.I am tired of lugging a 4-12" cabinet(that gets miked anyway) around...Any thoughts? Thanks,Cort

I had a Mesa 2+12 great build quality and great tone. I think the Mesa is a few steps up than the Marshall cabs. Make sure it is the recto cab if you want the vin 30s.

Is it the vert or the horizontal? either way, they make great cabs.

Depends if it is a recto cab or the older metal grill style, both cabs are great, but the older 2x12 is not worth as much

I currently use a Marshall 1936 2-12" cab with a Marshall head. I love it- it really comes into it's own when pushed.
It's a little larger than the Mesa, its impressive and you can't ignore it on stage for sure!
What head are you using?

I personally like the Mesa cabs over Marshall cabs. $250 is a GREAT price too.

$250 is a great price. Get the Mesa.

if its the closed back Recto 2x12 snag it. Go try them out if you can but that is a good price.
