  • Amp Volume Drop Running Through Effects Processor

I have a Framus Cobra with an effects loop and an effects dial to control wet/dry in the loop.

I run an Ibanez SDR 1000 through it - a dual processor stereo reverb/delay from the 80's. Fantastic sounding unit.

But it kills the volume on my amp when I run it through my effects loop. I don't understand why.

When I turn the dial towards the dry side, cutting out some of the effects unit my amp volume goes way up and when I dial wet to fully engage my effects unit my volume drops trememdously.

    Anyone have any ideas?

turn up the level control on the effects processor. or output level on the effects unit.

best bet is to run the effects unit totally wet. and its output all the way up.
then use the fx level on the amp to control the amount of effects in you sound.
