It would be close. I'd recommend a boost and a good graphic eq in the fx loop. The 5 bands that the mesa's have in their graphic EQs aren't centered well for scooping thrash tones.

Nice preamps though! For the money I'd buy a Soldano SP77 and put a graphic EQ between it and your power amp.
