Anyone ever try a humbucker made from one SD Custom coil and one SD '59 coil? I've read rumors that is supposed to nail the early EVH tone.

You know what nails the early EVH tone... early Ernie Ball Musicman Dimarzio Zebra EVH's. They should have painted them brown. -
