If you're looking for a head switcher - I'd recommend you take a look at the Radial Tonebone gizmo. I have the cab switcher and it's awesome. Mucho flexibo.

MusicMan HD-130 (SS Preamp, Tube Power)Clean Headroom for days!
Ampeg V4 (I think that's the model, 100W All tube)

You can find either of these in the $3-400 range with a little work.

Fender PA 100 extremely cheap for 100 watts OR Vox AC 30 great chime tpye clean. My 1969 Marshall Super lead is very clean & loud to about 4.
