Speaker question

Can bass speakers (Eminence Gamma 12's )which are 300w speakers with a freq response of 55HZ - 5KHZ
be used for guitar? I have a Fender Ultra Chorus which is a 130w (2 x 65w) stereo SS combo in need of speakers and these have possibly become available. I have never used speakers designed for bass. I know that alot of Fender players swear by using bass speakers (or even bass amps) for guitar. I have never tried either of these options.

i've done it, but i like a darker tone.

GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!
