Re: Who here has owned the most modeling stuff?

The Tech 21 stuff isn't digital (neither is the v-stack), but the end-goal and application are the same, so I think of them the same way, myself.

Re: Who here has owned the most modeling stuff?

The only modeling amp I've ever owned is a Line 6 flextone II plus, and I used to love it until I used it at band rehearsal last week.
At low volumes it sounds great, but that's it.
Now it's going on the block. I think I want a JSX Combo.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Hey Chris how did you like that Replitone? MF was blowing them out at $275 a pop.

I have an AD15T, and I absolutely love it!! It's the coolest little practice amp I've ever owned!!

I can only boast of one modeling amp, but if I ever buy another, it will be another VOX Valvetronix of higher wattage!...LOL!

Tech 21 SansAmp Tri-AC pedal... it's analog but it's got three programmable channels of Fender, Marshall and Mesa tones.

DOD GS30... one of the first modeling/effects systems that came out in the late '90s; it's the dark blue plastic one with built-in handle. It really didn't specifically say what products it was supposed to emulate, but someone at Digitech/DOD told me the Grunge setting was based on a Marshall, the Metal setting a Mesa, and one of the cleans was a Fender. The effects are really cool, too, especially with the programmable expression pedal. I sometimes still use it in the living room into a 1x12 cab with small Carvin power amp.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Cool sounding, but too many weird digital "quirks" to enjoy. Every "weirdness" you read about on the HC reviews happened with mine. It was just too high maintenance for me. Too loud too - the minimum volume was pretty darn loud! I wanted to try the rack version of it, but have so far been unable to find one for what I'd like to pay for it.

Forgot -- I had a Bass POD too. Sucked. Bought the Sansamp RBI and that thing KILLS! Too bad I don't play bass anymore...

Re: Who here has owned the most modeling stuff?

My list:
Zoom 505 II
Boss GT-5

I used the Zoom during army service for playing with headphones, now I use it for recording ideas to my comp and for tuning guitars directly before going on stage.

I use the GT-5 for rehearsals and live, going direct into the power amp of my Peavey XXL.
Sounds not to shabby IMO, and is simple to set up.

Oh yeah, I did have the Line 6 MM4 and DL4 pedals I bought off Ralph. I wound up selling the DL4 on ebay and the MM4 to Toru. They were cool pedals but I didn't have much use for them after awhile.
