I'm in Milford. There are a few more of us right in this area too. Welcome to the board.
I prefer a separate amp head and a 2 x 12 cabinet. They are easier to haul around. 2 x 12 high power tube amps that are good for metal tend to way around 80lbs+.
I play a Carvin MTS3200 with a choice of 2 cabinets. A Mesa Boogie 3/4 open back with 1 90w speaker in it and a Randall 2 x 12 cabinet loaded with Altec Lansings. Either cabinet can knock a house down and my entire live rig including my guitars all fits easily in my Nissan Sentra.

+1.....The 5150 combo is killer for metal. Cleans are another story.Good deals with:
