      yeah i bought one from guitar center for the same price. Great little devices, I also just bought one off the board here with the pedal board and stand. What you hooking it up too? anyway make sure to read the hand book for the little tips, like holding the tap button and cranking the drive turns on the feature of boosting the gain. What did you end up hooking it up too?

        PS. My favorte model is the one that is suppose to be the slo (modern High Gain).

          My favorites are JCM, SLO and Recto models. You can actually get some good sounds with Line6 originals if you have lots of time to tweak.

              awwwwww.Jeezuz Tap Dancin' Christ..

              OK ...I'll say this again and again...a 30 wt Line 6 Spider...it is awesome for 200 bucks ..new out the door.

              I play my son's all the time...it is awesome for metal...or any other style for that matter..IMO

              or if you can score a POD that cheap ...go for it..

              but for a PRACTICE amp...I like the spider.

                Hooked it up to my computer.Also bought the headphone adapter.Works great.thanks for the tip.I got a lot of reading and learning to do.

                        OH i just usually use the preset they have for it if i remember right. Either way the modern sounds killer!

                                I find all line 6 products good for what they are. The pod gives you more options and sounds, but if you dont have a stereo to plug into then you are screwed if you want to play and have other people listen, and that is where the spider is better.
