  • Drum Machine?

I was messing around with my pandora last nite, and had forgotten how much fun it was. It even has a bass line that you can adjust the key to. Pretty cool. Anyway, how can I throw drums into my noodling around, say through the pod? I run my modelers typically through and amp and a 4x12. Do I just buy a drum machine, and plug it in? Where do I work it into the equation?

    Re: Drum Machine?

I would suggest a stand alone drum machine. Just plug it in as if it was a CD player that you were jamming to. The Boss DR550 MKII or the Alesis SR16 are both great choices, they sound great and they are relatively inexpensive used.

Plug it into the pod, or into the amp like a pedal?

Just run the drum machine through your stereo system or power amp and speakers. That way you can noodle with any real amp you have instead of just a POD.

Yeah, thats true. I can run it through the powered monitors, seperately, as its own identity.

          Cool. Thanks.
