I´ve got a line on a Boss SE-50 9.5" effects unit, would fit perfectly next to my wireless.
I used to have one, but that´s been years and there were also things like an Eventide and an SPX-90 in there, further clouding my memory...
IIRC I liked what it sounded like for general effects use, but I´m not sure anymore if there was something about it that caused me to buy the SPX or not anymore, all I remember is I got the SPX dirt cheap... I remember the fizzy distortion, but other than that I can´t remember any real flaws....
Can anyone help jog my memory?? Sluggish tracking on pitch shifting? Dropouts when switching? Noise (althoug it´s not intended for studio use, so that´s not really an issue...)??
HELP...what may I not have liked?? Alternatives without that issue?
I´m looking for a reason not to grab it, other than the fact that it´s 80s tech... because it´s still IIRC one of the best pieces of 80s tech...
