Re: From VHT back to Mesa Tremoverb

The tremoverb combo is very heavy also. I think that the Roadking is tops weight wise but my Tremoverb combo was a flat out beast to move worse than a 5250 combo. I hate how combo's look in a head box though the reverse controls etc...

If you ever decide to get rid of the Tremoverb, let me know. I've always wanted one of those! Tremolo is my favorite effect, and having it built in an amp is even cooler.

There is a 2x12 tremo on ebay unloaded little beat up missing the two rectifier tubes and the reverb is bad, but with a BIN of $750 which is not too bad. These usually sell for about $1100 to $1200 on the bay in normal condition.

The Mesa amp does have more gain, if that's your thing, it's a great sound. For me, I love the Mark III & IV (the IV is my favorite Mesa) these are more in the tone range of the VHT, but the VHT has far more headroom than any of the Mesas in my opinion.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!
