5150 FX loop question

can i run a preamp into the FX return of a 5150 and it sound good like you can with other amp co.'s?

Yes, I use a Line 6 POD in my 5150 return and a Peavey Rockmaster. I have clips recorded using the Rockmaster thru the 5150 loop on my site.

thanks so much. we're playing a show in toronto and we'll be borrowing the other 2 bands gear. so our head choices are a hi watt, 5150, and a traynor plexi clone.

just hoping 2 of them will accept fx return singnals to bypass the preamp with our XT LIVE's.
