What do you think of Randalls new amps

I was lookin over the Randall site and checking out the specs/features of their modular heads.

I really like the idea of being able to swap tube pre-amps

The idea of a 3 channel 100 watt tube head that lets me pick an choose my gain stages has got me feeling all warm an fuzzy.

The fact that George Lynch is working with them to come up with modules to emulate both his early and current tone is icing on the cake.

Anyone actually try one of these out?

I've tried a lot of the modules out, and they are all very cool. The only thing I don't dig about it is the high gain modules don't have that high/sharp attack that the older SS models had. Hell, even their SS amps don't sound like they used to. All depends on what tone ya want of course. For the $, it's definatly great stuff. Throw an OD pedal in front of it with an EQ maybe if ya need and you can grab that sharp attack and higher gain that ya (or I) crave.
