I used to use Hearos when I was drumming regularly. They cut out both guitarists, and all I heard was my kick, the thud of my snare (which was a piccolo BTW) and the bass guitar...LOL! I'd probably use something else (like the Westones) when playing guitar though.

I'm using them for practice; I like to play loud, and tubes sound best loud anyway. The funny thing is, the hearos actually made my amp sound better...chunkier bass and it cut out some of the really sharp grating highs that always hurt my ears when my amp is up loud.
