ENGL/Rock Solid?

I'm looking at the ENGL 530 preamp. Anyone have
experience with it? Also, any feedback on Rock
Solid Amps? They seem to be the only ENGL dealer
around, or am I overlooking someone else?

There's also a place here in IL up north that's a dealer and will ship....they're not really an online place though. I think there are only a handfull of dealers in the US (maybe 4-5). Rock Solid is the best online dealer it seems.

i bought my powerball from derek at rocksolid...no problems at all. great guy to deal with and he triple boxes everything with peanuts in between.

I've heard nothing but excellent things about Derek; if I was looking to buy a new Engl, rocksolidamps would be the way I would go.

Derek is a great guy. I haven't bought anything from him, but every time I've e-mailed him with a question about ENGL gear or something else, he's been very quick to respond and did so respectively. He treats everyone like they're a friend and enjoys helping people out even if they're not buying gear from him.

I have never delt with rocksolid but i can give 2 HUGE thumbs up to Scott Splawn over at http://www.splawnguitars.com/index.htm he knows his stuff and is real nice to deal with. i got my powerball, z-5 footswitch and one of his custom made 4x12 cabs from him and i couldn't be happier!

Ahh, I was wondering why he hadn't responded to my emails, I just haven't had a chance to call yet. I'm looking at that same preamp myself, all the reviews I've seen of it have been favorable for the price of it.

Tonemerchants.com is also good for ENGL products. They also have tons of other high-end amps. I bought my Powerball and my Diezel 4x12 from them. I also bought an ISP Decimator from Derek at Rock Solid Amps with no problems whatsoever. I highly reccommend both dealers.

Derek is great to deal with - can't say enough good things about him. I just got an E530 preamp from him, last month.
