Got two AT100 Heads yesterday... The thing is Killer, but the only problem is, I know nothing about Valve amps...How do you get that Really Metal sound out of them...
This is my first tube amp... Is there a trick? or what....

If you're playing more modern metal, and you need the tight attack, then use the solid state rectifier. I like to start with all the eq knobs on five, the presence on zero, and the gain around 2/3. From there, start moving the eq knobs to dial in the tone you're looking for. Dial in presence a little at a time as needed. Try not to scoop out all the mids, it's not 1988 and modern amps don't work that way.

It would help if you could name some bands who use tones you like, so we have a better idea of what you're looking for.

Curious, since it is your first time with tube amps, why did you buy 2 of them?

I have two stacks so I bought two heads... (I am stupid though so that may have something to do with it)

I've been messing around with mine for a while, so if you tell me what kind of sound you are looking to get, maybe I can help you out.

When you get a chance, write down the settings, and let me know how you have it set. I'd like to see if it's similar to mine.
