What's a good single space poweramp?

Hey folks,
I've been looking for a poweramp, and while there's a million to chosse from, I'm looking for something that's single rack space. (most seem to be double) I had a Marshall 8008 for awhile that was a single space, and not bad, but I'm looking for something with a little more power behind it. Any suggestions?

Rocktron Velocity 100 is a good choice for SS
Mesa 20/20 is good for tube.

The nice thing about mesas is that a 20 w mesa can almost always easily keep up woth a 50 w marshall or similar....

OR the Rocktron Velocitys and Marshall Valvesaates aren´t supposed to be bad, but I´m a tube guy [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Is a 20/20 loud enough for gigging? Or is it better to get a louder SS ones?

i've yet to hear a SS poweramp that can keep up with a tube one for gigging purposes. the 20:20 definitely is a better choice.

atm i'm also looking for a good single space poweramp...the ones i'm thinking about are the mesa 20:20 as well as the engl 20:20 and maybe even a peavey 50:50 (although that one is 2 HE).

If you're going with a Rocktron Velocity try to pick up a used Velocity 150... it has more power and adjustability than the newer Velocity 100 and Velocity 120 models.
