Send it to Splawn and have him fix it, and charge the seller the cost to fix + shipping...

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is a place right here in VA, i will have them do it. I have a feeling it is because of the two different tubes, i bet they are not even close to matched.

Sounds like the seller took his good tubes out and threw in anything he could find prior ti shipping not realizing that the tubes were severely mismatched.

Anything can be fixed (I bet it just needs fresh tubes and bias). In the end you'll have a smoking amp. Congrats.

so here is what i know so far, took it to a place here in VA. Basicaly the mismtached tubes blew the main transformer, roughly 250 to 315 to fix. Might be more damage if the other tranny went. Keep you all updated.

I would get your money back form that fucktard if were you. I'd drive to go get it. Too bad you can't nail him with a negative feedback since it was backdoored. There was another one up at the same time as that one for 950. I would much rather pay 120 or so bucks and not have a replaced tranny. Who know what else that smoked or how it will affect the intended tone of that once killer amp.

Well he is very easy to deal with and as long as he pays for everything it will be cool. If he doesnt then he will have problems from me, i dont back down and can be a real bastard if you try to fuck me over.

Dont let anyone else work on it besides Scott Splawn. I think it will ruin your warranty through him and who knows if it will fuck the mod up. I know my Cameron modded Marshalls have so much shit going on in them that he is the only one I would let touch them.

I am not sure how much of a warrenty splawn gives you, but i do know that the guy is gonna contact splawn first. He said he had the mod done about 6 months ago.

Scott is a great guy and I think he will be standup on the warranty. Im not telling you he will fix the head for free, but I would have him do all the work just incase you ever needed anything done to it in the future. Hell the jerkoff that sold you the head is going to pay for it. Why not have the guy who modded the head fix it? I would insist on it.
