  • Crate powerblock??

I found this in my Guitar Player mag.
    http://crateamps.com/html/series.cfm?sid=15
    Any thoughts, comments?
    I have a G-Flex 2x12, and a GT-5 that it should work with.
I love the sound of stereo effects.
    Anybody try one yet?

I have one and it is a slick little poweramp for the modelers. I use it with my PODXT Live, and it works great. Very loud too. I use it with a band it it has plenty of juice, even through a 1x12 in mono... Earth shaking in Stereo through my Mesa 4x12. For $200, you can't go wrong!

How is the Gain on it?
What I was thinking of doing was:
Crate Powerblock to Gt-5 to G-Flex cab in stereo.
The G-Flex cab has jacks on the back so you can go stereo.(8ohms each side)

Don't know. There are two jacks in the back for an effects loop send/receive, which also double as left/right stereo inputs... I plug my POD XT Live in there. When plugging into these jacks the front tone controls are bypassed like on a standard amp head, so what you have is a clean power source. I've never used it as a stand alone amp.

Using it in the configuration you are looking at should be fine.
