from what ive seen on here before about them (no personal experience) they are pretty nice, and that is a steal. If you don't like it, you could easily triple your money on ebay. Hell if you don't want it, I'll take it for that price.

very nice power amp...I prefer the bigger brother 120/120..

but for that price how can you say no...and with the 6L6s...that would be a GREAT foundation to a nice rack..

I said "nice rack"....that doesn't mean you Joe..

That is a no brainer. The 60/60 is excellent and sells regularly on Ebay for over $300.00

I just got my peavey classic 60/60 now I just need a preamp to go with it

tubes are almost brand new and the unit only has some minor rack wears

Check out Soldano, Carvin Quad X, the Mesa Quad or any other of their rack preamps, Marshall JMP-1, that VHT.
For stupid cheap, the Peavey Rockmaster is a pretty smoking preamp.

Re: Peavey Classic 60/60

I'm really interested in a head turned into a preamp like the ENGL 530 or the VHT GP3 ... a 4 channel preamp is going to be enough for me

I think this kind of preamp could give a better rythm tone as well as a cruchier lead tone

the quad-x looks nice but I'd like to get some clips if ever you find some

I want something that will sound a bit like Deicide with more mids (on scars of the crucifix) or somwhere in between Metallica and Iced Earth

and for leads, I want something like Satch's tone on the G/ concert
