Well I got it!
This thing is cherry.
but.. like we all know it's loud.
so, I want to get a THD Hotplate.
The amp can switch between 4-8-or-16 ohms.
My G-Flex 2x12 cab has a mono 4 ohms input.
Should I get the 4 ohm Hotplate then?
Thanks

If you are only gonna use that cab then yeah. But if you decide you are gonna want to get a marshall cab then they are mostly 16ohm cabs

...which is useful info IF you are getting a Marshall cab, however that didn't adress your question. Yes you want a 4 ohm hotplate.

BTW, if you DO get a Marshall 4x12 cab down the road, it can easily be re-wired for 4 ohms.

get the weber mass and then you can use it with any ohm cab between 2-16 ohm

Roger!
Thanks everyone for all the info.
I'm sure I'll be asking more questions later.
But for now it's time to play.

I just started jamming with a band where the other guitar player uses a JCM 800 Lead Series, 100 watts, with the verticle inputs and all (2203, I think?). I was using their vocalists rig (they've been trying out guitar players lately, so they wanted a rig to be in place that people could come in and use) and it was one of the VS100's (8100 series). Holy shit... The JCM 800 KILLED the 8100 and then some...He was running master volume at 1.5 and I had the channel volume cranked the whole way and the master volume at like 7 and our levels were finally even. That amp is probably as loud, if not more so than the Mark III. I'd love to hear both of them go at it in a fight... That'd definitely end with some blown eardrums!
