• Using two 8-ohm cabinets with a Marshall?

I know most Marshalls have 16-ohm speaker outputs, I know you can use an 8-ohm cab with no problem, but what if I want to use two 8-ohm cabs which essentially drops the ohms down to 4? I may have a lead on a cheap TSL60, but I'd really like to use my pair of 8-ohm Jackson 2x12 cabs with it. What kind of problem would this present?

Don't you have an ohms selector on the back of the amp?

Put it on the little number "4"...

Well, I haven't actually seen the amp, but according to the manual I downloaded from Marshall's site, it's got a selector to switch between 8 and 16 ohms.
It says for 1x16 ohm speaker = 16 ohms output, 2x16 ohm speaker = 8 ohm output, 1x8 ohm speaker = 8 ohm output.

Huh. No love for the Jackson cabs, then.
Are there dual jacks on the cabs? You could daisy chain them and use the 16 ohm jack...?

Actually, yes, there are dual jacks on the cabs, now that I think about it! Daisychaining could work. Thanks!
