Spend Money. This is one area where you truely get what you pay for.

I tried to go wireless a few years ago, and the only system that was worth even using to my critical ear was a $2000 X-Wire system. Needless to say, it was borrowed, it was awesome, and I bought some good quality cables.

just get the sennhieser evolution series for guitar. you will be completely satisfied. no need to change anything out of the box either. just plug in play. if you and jim get one. just one of you needs to change the fequency on both the transmitter and reciever.

I use an Audio Technica 4000 and it works great. I can easily get 200 feet of distance when I play at Mohegan Sun. It has 200 channels and it automatically searches for the best frequency and sets itself so you don't get interference.
