• Pro Co Rat 2 (for high gain stuff)

I just heard the clip on Musiciansfriend and WOW... With my Seymour Duncan full shred I think I'll love the tone through the AOR (which unfortunately I have yet to get But wednesday I should have it)
I was thinking of also using that pedal as another channel. I could get a cheap boost (I'll build a microamp) and also use the ProCo Rat 2... Damn it seems really sweet. Has anyone got experience with it? Who can tell me more about it?

i had an original rat pedal and thought it was the best sounding pedal of the proco line. if you like the rat 2, i think you should try to find an original rat (no led, smaller case).

The original RAT has a large case, not a small case. I used one in the ealy 80's and picked up a re-issue recently. IMO it is the only one to have. http://www.e-eufonia.com/pedal/vrat.gif

The RAT will be too much in the Laney, as it already is overkill, unless you have it set with low gain as a solo boost.
