I agree...and whatever John played...no matter if it was a voodoo valve , a Marshall , a 5150 , a Cae...it sounds like John...always...as soon as I hear him play for twenty seconds I go yep....that's John.

John's amps sounds NOTHING like Glen Drover not even close...my stuff sounds exactly like Drover's...Glen fucked with John's amp for ten minutes...baddaboom badda bing...I was listening to a fucking Eidolon cd...coming outta of his amp...how...well it's his style , his muting , his feel , his attack...all that is 50% of your tone no matter what the hell your playin'..as long as it's a decent/usuable amp

Doug Aldrich SMOKED with a DSL ...how I don't know...but he did...so to him that is a good amp...it served his purpose without compromising anything...he shredded...just did his thing...and what else can you say..

I hate dsl's,,,but when he played them...he sounded like Doug Aldrich...like he always sounded...

I played a Carvin Vai amp and couldn't belive he used them...but he does...and he smokes my ass...so who in the hell am "I" to say otherwise..

The DSL are actually really good sounding amps as soon as you get rid of the factory tubes and bias it right! I only got rid of mine because of the heat issues these amps have, most marshall have some sort, but the DSL/TSL are worse then normal.

OH yeah the player is a big part of tone, i wouldnt goto say 50%, but you can defintly tell a player just by the way he plays. But it also has to do with how you EQ your amps, speakers, cables and mic position that has to do alot with your tone.

it's OK to be Biassed...their is clinics that can fix that

I was saw a thing on discovery where they removed a 120lb Tumor from this chicks ass..

I may have the same surgery done and get my ass tumor removed...but it's not quite is big...my wife only weighs 88lbs..
