the hot mod works with single channel amps, right? does it matter what the power tubes are? any thing extra to consider in using one?

I'm not sure about that but you are correct that it only will work in a single channel amp. I have one in a 2203 and it really turned it into a gain monster. No need for an SD-1 now [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]shawnlutz.com
