I also tried a 5150 combo and I loved it. Even at low volumes (I put the preamp on 8 or something and the poweramp barely on 1 I think, it was awhile ago) it sounded awsome. I can't fit it in my house or I would have gotten one. My experiences with Randall is ya gotta crank em to get that real chainsaw grind (dosen't make sense, it's not tubes, but as the volume increased the gain got sicker). With those amps, at a lower volume, ya might be able to get that kinda tone, the swedish asskickin one, with a pedal in front too. Just something to boost the signal a bit at the lower volumes to kinda saturate the gain.
