I had a 5150 the best out of five 5150..for some reason it was my favorite one..it was just warmer than the rest..had some "mojo" that my other 4 didn't have..and all had stock tubes..I dunno..the other four were all consistant..but that one just sounded great.
well I had a Mrk III at the time that I and combined them with a/b them for my sound it was killer..but stand alone..I prefered the 5150 for my style hands down ..(yes withh 422 in loop) ..so I reluctantly traded my Mark III for a Charvel 750 XL artch top neck thru silverflake w / floyd , which he just bought new not even a month prior..the case smelled like coa coa powder..I loved it but the stock pups wer pretty lame....I wish I stilled had it..just for that smell.. The heavy silver flake on it was awesome..I think everyone hear got rid of one piece of gear they wished they haven't..that was mine...oh well.
