Always wanted to try the JH-1 bro!! I think H&K maybe made a big meat unit of some kind? Thanks-Jack.

Old-school DS-1s and HM-2s are pretty nasty. Hard to top MT-2 though.

Im do love my MT-2 man. That pedal thru my Peavey Ultra 60 watt with the high gain JJ-`s into my Madison 4x12 eqaul very recto sound, chest thumping palm muting. Thanks-Jack.

analogman mt-2. I owned both that and a regular one at the same time, and guess which one I own now...

I really enjoy the HM-2 that I got from JGCable.

It is a very weird pedal in my experience. I was going to chuck it because it sounded fizzy on a clean amp. I cranked the gain on the amp to 3/4 changing nothing on the pedal and it was pretty beautiful.

Really weird, adding the amps distortion de-fizzed it.
I have never used it with my tube combo, only an SS practice amp. YMMV.

I need to try this with other distortions I have dismissed.

Is the analogman mod really worth the money?

I got it for the equivalent of $40, they want $75 for the mod, or $160, i think, new. My metal zone was pretty mint, so I figure I could sell it for $50 on ebay, then I bought a used analogman mt2 on here for $90. I ended up trading my original metal zone for a twisteramps preamp pedal, though, instead of selling it. If I would've had to pay the true cost of the mod or buy a new one, I doubt I would go for it, since my new amp gets the crunch I want without a pedal. If you really love your metal zone, or its an integral part of your sound, then go for it.

Me too bro. I have experienced the exact same thing. Fizz if you use it on a clean channel and killer crunch if you use it to slam an already overdriven signal.
