• What's your #1 amp?

Right now I've using my Mark III blue stripe simul head a lot (IIC is at mesa) but I have a Cameron modded Marshall on the way which should hopefully tear it up!

What amp(s) do you use the most? Or just share your entire collection, either way

I run a Boogie Dual Rec in stereo with a Marshall TSL100. Not my dream rig, but it sounds pretty good.

Nice screenname. My Dual Rec does everything I need it to do.

Re: What\'s your #1 amp?

My basement rig is a Mesa F-30 1x12 combo usually into two Jackson vertical 2x12 cabs. I don't care that much for the Vintage 30 Celestion speaker in it but I really dig the speakers in the Jackson cabs... they're only labled Jackson on the cones, but supposedly they're made by Eminence. Here's a crappy pic.

And my living room rig is a Boss GT-8 into a Carvin DCM150 power amp and 1x12 cab with Celestion G12T-75.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Re: What\'s your #1 amp?

It varies... right now the amp list is:

Line 6 Vetta head (upgraded to II firmware)
Peavey JSX head
Fab amp head
18 watt Marshall head clone (self built)
18 watt Matchless Spitfire head (s b)
Fender Tweed Champ hotrodded head (s b)
Fender SF champ w/modded soldano preamp stage (s B)
Laney 30 watt AOR head (4x6V6) w/JCM 800 board (s b)
Trainwreck head (2x6V6) (s b)
Pod XT Live for fx and emergency gig backup

and an assortment of parts and such for other experiments. I have a pair of 50 watt power and output transfomers for 6L6 based amps (may build a couple of hot rodded marshalls with these) and a set of 120 watt transformers for EL34/KT88s. Too many projects, not enough time.

Since I'm still fairly new at guitar, my main amp is my only amp. It's a Peavey Studio Pro 112 Transtube series I've had for a year now and I really like it.

My main amp for a little while has been a THD Univalve into a Marshall 1960 412.

I just purchased a Cornford MK50 and am running it through my Buzz Feiten 312(yep, 312) and it sounds incredible. The Univalve may be hitting the road soon.

Wow, I didn't even know Buzz Feiten made cabinets. I've heard great things about those cornfords. How do they compare to say... a marshall 2203?

I've tried a few different setups, but I'm pretty convinced that my Peavey 212 Classic 50-watt tube combo and Peavey 212SX cab will be my live rig for quite some time to come. For recording, I'll probably continue using my Jackson Apogee 50 combo and Peavey 212M.
