THE TALE OF TWO 2204 AMPS.

SO i am trying to clear stuff out, which i am doing, but this came along and i bought it, i spent all day driving to NY and back to pick this up, i spent about 75 dollars and wasted 8 hours of my time, i ordered new knobs for it, so i think for $850 Total for head and cab i did pretty good even though it is beat.

Anyway here is my problem, I have the 2204 with 6550's that i purchased at the beginning of the month and it has a direct out, where the one i just purchased does not. The serial numbers are wacky too, so please give me as much infor as you can.

    2204 with 6550's and direct out S/N S04982
    2204 with EL34's no direct out S/N 09362P

So what can you tell me about these amps, i found a thing on marshall coding but it doesnt make sense on the one with 6550's.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

The S is a 1984 and the P is a 1982. Both amp came with 6550's if they were sold mew in the USA. The early JCM800's didn't have the direct out.
